Yevgeny Bagrationovich Vakhtangov was a Russian-Armenian actor and theatre director who founded the Vakhtangov Theatre.[1] He was a friend and mentor of Michael Chekhov.[2] He is known for his distinctive style of theatre, his most notable production being Princess Turandot in 1922.
